On the following pages we want to show the basics in the field of fiber composite to you and also bring you closer to the various possibilities for processing fibers. These explanations should help you to implement your projects with your possibilities. The processes range from mold making to preparation and post-processing.

Composite lay up

The structure of a laminate is illustrated on the right. The numbering started on the tool with the first layer and ends with the vacuum film, which completes the assembly.

The outer or inner layer can consist of several layers depending on the intended use or area of application. It is also possible to use different fiber materials.

Important that the lamiate is constructed symmetrically. This means that when using a core, the layer structure of the outer layer is repeated. This procedure avoids internal stress with the component, which can lead to deformation.
